She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University and later earned her Masters degree in Kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Yolanda taught and coached at the high school level for 5 years and then decided that she would like to pursue a coaching career at the collegiate level. She began her collegiate career at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas from 1997-2002, where she coached the sprints and horizontal jumps. Later, she coached at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee from 2002-2004. Her love for track and field landed her an opportunity to compete in the 1992 U.S. Olympic Trials Long Jump. In addition to her athletic coaching abilities Yolanda is a graduate of Paradigm 360º Coach Training and holds the Certification of Executive Leadership Coach. She is married to an NFL & Collegiate coach and they have three beautiful daughters. In her spare time she enjoys running, hiking and exploring the nature and outdoors.
